CHAK-TV is a television station in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada, broadcasting on local analog channel 6. Founded in 1969, it is owned and operated by CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and branded CBC North. It broadcasts national newscasts from the CBC as well as locally produced newscasts about issues in the Northwest Territories, including aboriginal issues and "Maamuitaau," CBC North's weekly Cree-language magazine of news and current affairs. Although it airs some United States network programs, the majority of its schedule is comprised of television series produced by the CBC.
